Choosing the design for BTSF

We've been testing different logo versions over the past year.

When I was designing the logo, I wanted something that captured the idea of sparkling

without being too literal. This meant instead of focusing on the idea of sparkle itself, we needed a concept that captured shine and brilliance.

I knew that the logo should be designed in a way that would have multiple uses (logo, letterhead, tshirts, wrapping paper, etc).

The elements of the logo are a comment icon and a gem. I wanted to make sure that whatever we created captured the idea of conversation. One of the missions for our organization is changing the way people talk about domestic violence. We're working to do that online and offline.
