Young love is love

We call it puppy love, but what happens when it's not as sweet as it seems.

When it comes to love, the conversations we have are usually about what not to do. But what not to do isn't the same as learning what to expect in a relationship or how to love yourself while trying to love someone else.

There's a lot of hype around love and how to keep a relationship.

At first, you may be tempted to say that it only happened one time. But one time is a good signal that it will happen again.

Even if it seems like it's a normal part of a relationship, it shouldn't be.

Abuse is about power and control. There is a pattern of controlling and/or violent behavior: the abuse happens again and again, and it gets worse over time.

Verbal abuse and emotional abuse often lead to physical violence. Just because a relationship is not physically violent does not mean that it is healthy.

"Dating violence describes an ongoing pattern of abusive behavior when one person chooses to control the relationship through force, fear, pressure, or intimidation."
